Fraud ???

Mr. Gohl,

On December 29, 1998 Mr. SM Thorstenson was called for a B-PTLLAC5-29A on duty at 0400 call made at 0224 (Attachment 1). At 0531 the train symbol was changed to B-PTLWHI5-29A (Attachment 2&3). The train was no longer going on the Gateway Subdivision.

The plan was to call a Vancouver/Pasco long pool turn and have the crew dead head to Wishram and handle the train into Pasco. Conductor Mattson and Engineer Edgar were called for I-VAWPAS1-29A on duty at 0815 (Attachment 4&5).
Conductor Thorstenson on arrival at Wishram would handle Train V-RICPTL3-27A Wishram to Vancouver.

Here are the problems,

    • TSS shows GD Mattson as only deadheading to Pasco. (Attachment 4)
    • TSS shows SM Thorstenson returning to Vancouver on B-PTLWHI5-29A (Attachment 6)
    • There are no records at all of a crew handling V-RICPTL3-27A Wishram to Vancouver (Attachment 7&8). Wishram is a automatic release point for Conductor Thorstenson he should have been tied up and a new call slip given for his return trip.

From where I sit, it appears as an attempt to hide train starts and in the process create pay shortages for the crews.

I would like to see some physical proof that productivity shares were generated for {B-PTLWHI5-29A and the return trip V-RICPTL3-27A) and I-VAWPAS1-29A which dog caught PTLWHI5-29A at Wishram and handled to Pasco.

Gentlemen this creative crew calling has got to stop.

Yours truly,
Jay L Schollmeyer
